How to create impersonal logins

Are there different people who should have access to the Public.facility_type_two_tvattstugetid over time? Then it may be convenient to use impersonal login credentials.

When you link a login to an email address, the user can for example order a new password themselves, which relieves you as an administrator.

But if you for example run a hostel with a shared laundry room, it may be desirable to set usernames based on room numbers instead of email.

What you as an administrator need to do is to assign each user account a username (for example "Room X") and a password that you can communicate to the guests upon check-in, or alternatively write up and place in each room.

Combine with a digital booking board

Impersonal login may also be relevant if you want to set up a digital booking board at the entrance to the {facility_type}.

If you want to let users log in with both email and password in normal cases, but use an impersonal login on the booking board that everyone can see, this is also possible. Then you also assign each user account a public comment and a PIN code.

Here too, you can set the public comment based on room number or similar if you want.

Guide: Create a public link to the calendar

  1. Log in and go to "Users".
  2. Make sure each account has a good username (eg "Room 120", "Room 122", etc) and then remove the email address from all user accounts.
